United Way's mission is to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities around the world to advance the common good. 

We are the problem-solvers, the hand-raisers, the game-changers. We fight for the health, education, and financial stability of every person in every community. Together, through the United Way, our community works to advance these three priorities by meeting immediate needs and by addressing the underlying causes of problems. By LIVING UNITED, we advance the common good in Atchison County and aim for lasting, positive change in people's lives.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

We recognize structural racism, ethnic discrimination and other forms of oppression have contributed to racial disparities that have existed in the past and persist in the present. We acknowledge those inequities are the result of policies and practices that work to marginalize entire populations of people.
