2025 Leadership Breakfast
Dear Atchison Area United Way Supporter,
As a valued supporter of the Atchison Area United Way (AAUW), your commitment to the betterment of our community is deeply appreciated. We are proud to share how your generosity is impacting the lives of those around us. Together with our 17 Partner Agencies, AAUW continues to focus on advancing financial stability, education, and health for individuals and families throughout the Atchison area.
Since our founding in 1951, with Cloud Cray, Sr. at the helm of the organizing committee, AAUW has been a reflection of what community spirit can achieve. That legacy continues thanks to people like you — those who give, advocate, and volunteer to uplift our neighbors in need.
We invite you to join us at our Annual Leadership Breakfast on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 7:30 a.m. at the Atchison Event Center. This year, we are honored to welcome Mark Hulet, President & CEO of the YMCA of Greater Kansas City, as our keynote speaker. A dedicated YMCA leader for more than two decades, Mark’s career is rooted in servant leadership, innovation, and community impact — values that mirror the heart of AAUW’s mission. His insight and experience leading transformative initiatives across our region promise to inspire.
Our 2025 campaign theme, “Common Ground for the Common Good,” is a reminder that even in times of division and uncertainty, we can unite around shared values — compassion, dignity, equity, and care for one another. As we continue to face rising challenges such as housing insecurity and food instability, finding that common ground has never been more important.
Whether your gift is large or small, it fuels real change. When you donate to AAUW, your contribution directly supports our Partner Agencies and the often-invisible community members who rely on them for stability, hope, and a path forward.
We hope we can count on your Leadership Breakfast contribution this year.
